Happenings at St. Paul's:

Calling All Superheros:

While we can’t yet meet in person, we are still having a SUPER year in Sunday School!

Did you know there are a lot of Superheroes in the Bible! From beginning to end, the Bible is filled with incredible stories of heroes whose willing hearts and faith in God allowed them to be used by God to save the day. We can have these powers too when we put our faith and trust in God!

In October, we learned about Abraham, Sarah and Esther, Bible Heroes who showed INCREDIBLE faith! In November we will dig into the story of David and see how he became a superhero for God!

If you would like to join “Sunday School by Zoom”, please contact Mindy at mindy.does@yahoo.com. Materials and the weekly Zoom link will be sent to you.

Invite a friend and ZOOM in for a SUPER great time!

Outreach Ministry:

Our Outreach Ministry Programs continue to make a tremendous impact on those in need. Thank you for your generous donations and support!

In October, we were able to deliver a carload of children’s clothes, toys, books and baby items to our friends at Cradles to Crayons. Remember that if your kids used them gently, there are many children who would love it!

As the homeless and shelter populations continue to rise, I regularly receive urgent pleas for trial-size shampoos, deodorants, toothbrushes and toothpastes. Winter clothes and coats are also in high demand as the weather turns colder!

We continue to accept donations of men’s, women’s and children’s gently used clothing, new socks and underwear, backpacks and purses, as well as children’s toys, books, and baby items. These items continue to be greatly needed and appreciated!
Remember that your unwanted items could become a blessing to others in need!

The Angel Tree in 2020:

This year the Angel Tree gifts will again benefit 15+ Northampton Area School District youth. As a result of Covid-19, to participate you should call or email Karen Sands beginning on Sunday, November 29th. A shopping list will be emailed or sent via postal service to you for your selected child. Provide a wrapped gift with a clearly marked name tag for your recipient. Please bring your gifts to church during worship service or drop them off at the annex during Christine’s normal working hours. All gifts are due to the church on/by Sunday, December 13th.

If you are not doing much ‘in store’ shopping, gift cards make great gifts and can be purchased at almost any store like your local pharmacy or grocery. Thank you in advance for your participation. Let’s make this a Christmas to remember!
