SPY & SPY KIDS UPDATES

Save Those Unwanted and Expired Coupons, and Show Your Support to Our Military Families!

Our military families are limited to doing their shopping for groceries and household items at the Commissaries and Post Exchanges on base, where prices are typically much higher than civilian stores in the U.S. However, both the Commissaries and Post Exchanges allow the use of manufacturer’s coupons - and will accept coupons up to 6 months past their expiration date. Our military families who are stationed overseas do not have easy access to the Sunday newspapers like we do here, so they are very appreciative of any coupons that are sent their way.

  • Most manufacturers’ coupons can be used.
  • Coupons for baby products, including diapers, baby wipes, formula, and skin care items are in very high demand.
  • Coupons that are to be used only at a specific store cannot be used overseas.
  • Coupons that are ripped or that have the expiration date cut off partially or completely are not redeemable
  • To allow for shipping time, we will accept coupons that are up to 4 months expire
SPY Youth have set up a collection box in the Narthex in which to deposit your unwanted or expired coupons.

** Please Note:  Coupons do NOT have to be cut out of newspaper inserts before they are dropped off in the box.  SPY members will cut the coupons if you wish to donate the whole insert. Many thanks for your donations!

Attention 4th Graders :  You asked and now you too can be a SPY Kid and participate in all SPY Kids activities!  Watch your mail and newsletters for information on some more exciting events that will be coming up soon!

Join us on Friday, February 3 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm for Game Night. Bring your favorite game - board game, Jenga, cards, etc. - for an evening of round-robin game play.  We’re busting out the board games and serving up munchies, great competition and a whole lot of fun!

March 2 - Japanese Night (7:00 - 9:00 pm)

Sample some different Japanese foods/snacks and learn the story of the Thousand Cranes. We’ll start our project to make 1,000 paper cranes for the local family in Easton to provide to a cancer hospital in the U.S.

It is our hope that we can raise the funds they need to make this happen.

Will you help "Take Stock in Our Youth" and share as a partner in their journey?

As a Partner, you will receive periodic stock reports on their preparation and planning as well as updates during the event itself.  A special "Stockholders Tea" will be held after the event at which time they will share stories, highlights and photos of the experience that you made possible through your generosity.

"Stock in Our Youth" can be purchased for any amount as all donations are greatly appreciated.

Stock Certificates can be purchased Sunday mornings in the parlor following the worship service beginning Sunday, Jan. 30th or contact an NYE Participant or Mindy Does.

Parents and Guardians :  Please remember to bring your child directly to the Sanctuary on the first Sunday of each month at 9:00 a.m. for a special large group time.  After a short 15-minute program, the children will proceed to their classrooms for the remainder of the Sunday school hour.

This is also the day to bring your bank and offering for Ingrid, our sponsored child.
