HOLIDAY COOKIES

This year more than 140 dozen cookies were sold. Thank you to everyone who supported the sale and we hope you were all pleased with your goodies. To all of you who volunteered time and materials it would be impossible without you and we so appreciate your generosity. Many thanks to Donald Missimer who created this project and has seen it through over the past several years. As always Donald, a job well done!!!!

NATIVITY SCENES

Thank you to Dale Edwards who designed and lead the workshops for the making of the beautiful wooden Nativity Scenes. More than 24 orders have been filled. If you missed your opportunity to own one of these handcrafted Nativity Scenes you are in luck because Dale will accept additional orders throughout December. Don’t wait till the last minute – they make lovely gifts for those “difficult to shop for” people on your list.  

THE ANGEL TREE

We are again sponsoring the angel tree project which benefits the Bethany Children’s Home residents and a few children in the Northampton School District this year. The tree will be adorned with angels for your selection on Sunday, November 26. We ask that you select an angel from the tree and bring it to the coordinator posted there who will supply you with a list of gift wishes for that child. You are requested to purchase 1 item. Wrapped gifts are to be returned and placed under the tree no later than Sunday, December 11, 2011.

We are also seeking 1 or 2 volunteers willing to transport the gifts to the Bethany Children’s Home in Womelsdorf during the week of December 11 through 18. Interested volunteers should see or contact Karen Sands.
