Women of St. Paul's: 2011 Annual Report

Another year has passed with our small group of women trying to help our church and others. Our income mostly comes from our Ham & Cheese sandwich sales, which we try to do 2 or 3 times a year. If only we could go over that 500 mark, that would be great.

In spring, we let our youth and groups take orders if they like, and earn $1.00, helping them to earn money for camps, vacations, school supplies, etc. Our economy is bad so, it’s one way our youth can help their parents and themselves.

We give gifts to our confirmation class, and in the summer we entertain

Phoebe residences by hosting a Bingo party for about 65 people.

In the Fall we brighten up our church for Harvest Home and on All Saint’s Sunday we decorate and present families of loved ones with tokens of remembrance.

We also support our Vacation Bible School with supplies, refreshments, and a nice donation to the Heifer Project.

For Christmas, goodie bags were made and delivered to all our shut-ins and members in the hospital. Our ladies look forward to delivering these bags and visits. Also, for Christmas we sponsored two children from Bethany Children’s Home along with a donation to their year-long fund (which are special rewards).

In 2011, we hosted a Basket Social in our church, which saved $400.00 for rental fees. With a profit of over $6,000.00 and money from our treasury, we were able to pay for the new sidewalk at the annex, a big project saving the church this large expense.

We would like to thank everyone for all your help from purchasing sandwiches and tickets and basket donations, baking, and everything else when needed.

The Women welcome new members on the 2nd Tuesday of the month starting in March at the annex.

Brenda Kohler,

President
